Chocolate Milk Shake            Yields 2 servings

from “Growing and Using Stevia”

  • 2/3 cup frozen bananas, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup milk (soy or rice beverage may be substituted)
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons Green Stevia Powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Place half the banana pieces and remaining ingredients in a blender bowl. Process on medium, then increase speed to the high setting. Gradually add remaining banana pieces and process until smooth. Serve immediately.

Tip: Freeze bananas the day before using. Peel, break in half and drop in a plastic bag. Seal and place in freezer.

 

About the Authors

Jeffrey Goettemoeller and Karen Lucke are siblings who grew up gardening and enjoying wholesome home cooking. Karen is now a nutritionist and reflexologist. Jeffrey earned a degree in horticulture at Northwest Missouri State University and conducted a published research study on the production of Stevia rebaudiana seeds. He has been growing stevia for several years and sells stevia seeds. Jeffrey is also the author of Stevia Sweet Recipes: Sugar-Free—Naturally! and publishes the Directory of Flower and Herb Buyers.
